Meetup UK - Agile Recruiter
How To Improve Recruitment Practices to Hire the Best Talent?
Online Meetup - Agile Recruiter
An inspiring and interactive session where we discuss experiences and insights from the talent recruitment industry. We want to go in-depth, exploring unconventional perspectives and solutions. What they should be, why, and how to implement them in organizations.
Summer topic: CVs - form, content, communication. And life experiences.
As part of the discussion we will also touch on related topics:
- What do we encounter in CVs?
- How do we work with them during recruitment? Should a candidate try to differentiate themselves?
- Is it right to bring personal preferences and emotions into the recruitment process?
- What is important in a resume and what is no longer important? And what must a recruiter no longer do?
🗓 Date: 10th July 2025
🕒 Time: 17:00 – 18:00 CEST (Czech Republic, Prague)
💻 Place: Online (language 🇬🇧 English)
💰 Price: €4.84 (€4 without VAT). VAT place is the Czech Republic
Today's topic is related to a LinkedIn post - Eva Busova (thank you for the inspiration) shares her experience with reading CVs. And gives advice. I disagreed with her on this advice. Mainly because many of them belong to the so called recruitment superstitions.
If we are going to advise someone, the outcome should be better than before. Advising someone to fit into the grey average and not stand out is not exactly good advice. And is it right to ridicule candidates?
At this meeting we will open the discussion with this post. We'll look at what's wrong with each item and why. But we'll also try for more perspective. What is the purpose of recruitment, what role does the CV and recruiter play in it. And from there we'll get into what types of CVs are and whether they help us or not, and what's really important.
The summer theme is meant to be light-hearted, so we'll share some fun stories. I hope everyone has experienced a lot of them and will contribute their bit. And we'll also see what lessons are hidden in the stories.
I invite you to join in the discussion. Let's change the way we work in recruitment!
