In 2025, not much has changed in the recruitment landscape. Newspaper articles continue to write about the alleged shortage of people. AI is being discussed more and more, but from a recruiter's perspective, the discussion remains superficial. Agencies and outsourcing of the recruitment process continue to dominate recruitment.
On the Internet, however, the number of complaints about the work of recruiters is skyrocketing - from a lack of transparency, to growing criticism of ATS tools, to an unprecedented level of ghosting. Overall, vacancies have decreased, and it seems that organizations have started to "take advantage" of this. It is clear that there is tension building under the surface, and it is not good for the organizations or the candidates.
What changes do we expect in 2026 from a recruiter's point of view?
- Will recruitment be easier or harder?
- Are we awaiting legislative changes? With what impact?
Which obstacles hinder you the most in recruitment, and would you like to remove them in 2026?
Changes in the external environment?
Company policy?
Cooperation with hiring managers or other interested parties?
Cooperation with candidates?
The work of agencies?
Do you feel this tension? And do you think that the field of recruitment needs a strategic change?
Let's try looking at recruitment trends from a different perspective. I would like to open a discussion regarding the deeper industry changes that would need to be implemented. And also the obstacles that prevent it.
I invite you to join in the discussion. Let's change the way we work in recruitment!
